Shazam's Midnight Madness

This mare carries the blood of a by gone era.  To see her registration papers with "Blue Roan Mare #0176" actually printed on them is like having living history in our hands.  The horses in the parentage of this horse are seldom seen in a horse thats living.  That in itself was reason enough to rescue this mare.  We sometimes feel like we are feeding and preserving a little piece of Morgan History in the barn when we do chores at night.   Midnight is like a living anitique and she is only 7 years old.

Shazam was a competitive performance horse in the New York/New England areas.  He amassed an enviable show record with championship wins  in English Pleasure and Pleasure Driving.

Shazam most likely got a good portion of  his physical ability and driving finesse from his sire Lord Linsley (seen left) who was a very reputable roadster to bike.

And Midnight shows very heavy influences from all these sires but mostly, the immortal Flyhawk  (seen right ) who appears numerous times in her ancestry.
