The Sale will be run as a Silent Bid Auction with a minimum bid on each individual.
Minimums range from $1500 to $8500.

A private bid number will be issued to each bidder either by phone or on-site.  Bid increments must be at least $200.  Professional horse trainers/agents must sign up before making a bid in order to receive a 10% commission.

Note:  A commission will be paid to them by Townshend Farm once the minimum has been passed ( i.e. for a $5000 minimum on a lot there is no commission at that $5000 but starting at $5100 it would be $10; at $5400 it would be $40;and then please note at $5600 it would be $560 and then continue to be 10% of the total for instance at $7,000 it would be $700 etc).

The successful bidder must submit on Oct 19th a non-refundable down payment of 10% of the final bid (refundable only if rejected by veterinary exam). The remaining balance and details will be negotiated between buyer and seller on Oct 19th (i.e. health exam by purchaser’s veterinarian).
